I've looked at the images from this wedding several times trying to figure out why I'm connecting to it so deeply. (I hope that doesn't sound creepy!) We receive a lot of beautiful wedding submissions every year - and this is certainly among them - but what strikes me about Hannah and Ben's big day is how serene it seems. From the lush location to the soft color palette, all of their details evoke a sense of calm and of joy to those looking at the images. I'm kind of blown away because that's hard to pull off on a day that is often so frantic and frenetic for many.

The talented photographer who shot this wedding is Hannah's sister, Sarah, of Taken by Sarah Photography. Here's what she had to say about Ben and Hannah's celebration:

My sister Hannah had a beautiful garden wedding with different literary and movie couples at each table and mad libs "guest book" sheets at each guest place to fill out. There was a whole lot of DIY done right! Hannah's co-workers assembled the centerpieces, Ben's sister-in-law made the cake, our Mom made Hannah's sash, and I made the bridesmaid's bouquets and boutonnieres. The all-white florals were accented nicely with the blue lace runners and everything came together beautifully with such a gorgeous backdrop that the Duncan Estate provides.

Hannah and Ben met on a blind date in 2010 that was set up by their close friends and have been together ever since!
