Glamping Resort Wedding: Asha + Clay

Glamping Resort Wedding: Asha + Clay

You all caught Asha + Clay's super stylish rehearsal dinner, right? We're excited to keep the fun going with their colorful Costanoa Lodge wedding planned + executed by the team at Enjoy Events Co.. When it came down to the design specifics, A + C let their choices be unconventional. If something felt like it would be a fun fit, they went with it! And likewise, they had no troubles foregoing traditions that didn't resonate with them. Asha says, Instead of a wedding party, we simply asked friends to do readings, calling it an ensemble production. We both love to entertain, and in many ways, we felt that the happiness of our guests was our happiness, too. We both picked clothing that made us feel amazing. Clay wore a fully custom, bespoke suit and I wore a Vera Wang party dress. We met on the beach for an intimate first look before the festivities began. This private moment was perfect.

Thanks so much to Gretchen Gause Photography for sharing these beautiful images with us and congrats to Asha + Clay on their stunning wedding!

LOVE their sweet beach moment together! Such a great idea :)

Our ceremony took place on a lawn facing the mountains. Instead of a traditional walk-down-the-aisle, where people have to crane their necks to see the bride and groom, we had a stroke of inspiration that the ceremony would begin with all 180 of our guests making a circle around the space. We never anticipated that walking into this giant circle would be the most breathtaking moment of our lives. We were suddenly looking into the eyes of all our loved ones, and held in their embrace.

Processional: Groom: Diverse Bizzarie Sopra la Vecchia - Nicola Matteis (palladium's ensemble); Bride: Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen (instrumental version)

Recessional: This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) - Talking Heads

First Dance: Have a Little Faith in Me - John Hiatt

The tented reception was designed with lush blooms (a la Shotgun Floral Studio) + color in mind! We are obsessed with overhead wreaths and the rich hues of the centerpieces (those red + pink dahlias are totally to die for!). The pretty place settings comprised of lovely Casa De Perrin pieces were definitely a great finishing touch.

Before you begin planning, talk about what the day means to you both, and what elements are important. Don't feel like you need to do everything. Spend your time, money and energy on the things that are really meaningful. For example, we cared about having an exceptional DJ over a formal cake cutting ceremony. We made some choices that were unconventional and those were the parts that made the event feel uniquely ours. Also, good wedding planners are worth every penny.
